OUR DIRECTOR
Our Managing Director Patrick Cunningham has 17 years experience in Civil Contingencies work. He has provided advice to airports, banks, central government departments, colleges, fire services, industrial concerns, libraries, local authorities, police forces, prisons, professional associations, retail outlets, transport companies, utilities, and voluntary organisations.

Patrick has created a wide range of emergency plans, business continuity plans, and training courses. He has been involved in the operational response to several major incidents, including fuel shortages, water shortages, foot-and-mouth, flooding, transport accidents, and reception of foreign evacuees.

Patrick is a Fellow of the Emergency Planning Society and a Member of the Business Continuity Institute. He has a first Degree in Humanities, a Masters Degree in Business Administration, and a 7307 Teacher Training Certificate. Patrick has just been made an Associate Lecturer of the Emergency Planning College and is currently assisting with the redesign of some of the College's courses.

Patrick was the Chief Emergency Planning Officer for County Durham and Darlington for ten years. He is also the former President of the UK Emergency Planning Society, which is the national professional body for all those involved in crisis management. Patrick led the Society’s input into discussions with the Home Office, Cabinet Office, and Office of the Deputy Prime Minister with regard to the progress of the Civil Contingencies Act.

He is the only practitioner to have been called to give expert evidence to both the House of Commons Defence Committee and to the House of Lords/House of Commons Joint Scrutiny Committee on the Draft Civil Contingencies Bill. Patrick has also been an Emergency Planning Advisor to the Local Government Association.
